Triggering!

So, this morning's u/s was a little surprising. It seems my ovaries are now touching each other they are so big. I've never seen that before...has that happened with anyone else? Anyway, it made it hard for her to count the eggs and even harder to figure out which ovary had which egg on it. The end result is that they say I am stimming really well and I will get "at least 15 eggs, probably a bunch more". So, again, so far so good. I also took heart in both the u/s tech and the nurse repeatedly telling me to drink fluids and stay hydrated...I take that as a sign that I have a big old bunch of eggs!!! (of course, I'd start reading tea leaves if I thought I'd learn something about the future of this cycle).

I am triggering tonight at 8pm and have my ER Thursday at 9. We were going to do a hysteroscopy during the ER since I am not transferring but Dr. G suggested that since he won't be available on Thursday to do the ER and hysteroscopy that he'd prefer doing it himself so we changed it to an office visit on Friday. Of course, something about doing it under anesthesia appealed to me, but I've done it before and it wasn't so bad, and since he knows me best, I do feel better about him doing it. He left it up to me and I said Friday...I'm nuts, right?

Besides that I finally got up to visit my friend here who just gave birth 3 weeks ago (from fertility community). It was great. Her little guy is one of the most beautiful babies I've ever seen. It was great to catch up and visit and I'm looking forward to another visit in May when I am here for transfer. I brought my camera to take some pics since my blog has seriously been lacking fun pictures this cycle, but I forgot!

You are an egg machine!! Good luck with your trigger shot tonight. Will DH be there to give it to you? So if I understand you correctly...you are going under thursday and friday?! For some wierd reason, I love getting put to sleep. I am sooo glad you had a good visit with J and got to meet little W. Did J take any pics? Thanks for the heads up about my blog. I took off the word verification thing. Thinking of you and your EGGS! Do you always have this many?

Watch out for potholes and speedbumps, those are some fulll overies- way to go!
I think what some of you are doing at CCRM with the testing and then freezing the blasts makes so much sense...
Good luck with retrieval- I will be thinking of you!

Wow - the things we learn through this! I never knew your ovaries could touch one another by becoming so big during stims!!! That's great news though - I bet you get more than 20 eggs and I hope and pray that that they are all awesome quality. GL!

Hey there - yes, that's happened to my ovaries a couple of times. "Bunch of grapes" is what the tech had said!

Sounds like you have a good ol egg farm growing in there. Good luck with your retrieval. Was your DH there in time for your trigger?

Sue, everything sounds great. I can't believe they're retrieving tomorrow at 9 AM - Wow! And the number of follicles - OMG! Great news!!!

I wouldn't worry about the hysteroscopy on Friday. You've had it already and know what to expect. I actually thought mine was a breeze - no better/worse than a pap.

Can't wait to hear how things go tomorrow.

So glad to hear that all is going so well! I only had 13 eggs for IVF#1, but also had the "kissing ovaries". My RE made it sound so cute and sweet, but it sure didn't feel that way......

All my best for tomorrow's retrieval and Friday's hysteroscopy. Rest up and update us when you can.

You're probably recovering from your ER as I leave this message. May you get a basket full of eggies!! Can't wait to hear how many and looking forward to your fert report!!!

BTW, I'm still here in Denver and will be at the clinic in the morning. Maybe we'll bump into each other! I'll keep an eye out for you. Good luck on your hysteroscopy. Dr. Sch did mine, and it was over like in 5 minutes - and that included dressing. :)
