Dogs!

I thought I'd just post some fun pics of the puppies that are currently driving me nuts. It is seriously a full time job. So I guess it is good that I am unemployed:-O Oh well, here they are...

This is my baby. My 'Old Man". He was the fattest, cutest little puppy that, when I was in college, many people offered to buy him from me. He was a rescue but I loved him so much that no way would I sell him for $400!!! Well, he is now almost 15 and it breaks my heart to see him struggle with the stairs and have such stiff hips and achey joints. Anyway, when I moved out of my mom's I begged to take him with me but she thought he'd be happier with his buddies (to follow) so I left him with her. But he is always my baby.

These are my mom's three...snuggling on my big dog bed:

And the famous fat chihuahua up close. She is absolutely the sweetest, mildest chihuahua you will ever meet (unless you have one yourself - Ashley:-))But, I must say, she looks something like a potato on toothpics. However, if you are in need of a surrogate for that baby you weren't able to have (yet) then she fits the bill. I swear, picking her up feels like lifting a newborn!

And, just for sh*ts and giggles, Sherman dressed to be married. He does this all the time with our curtains. He wears them like a veil. When he did it yesterday I was lucky enough to have the camera ready. Cute, right? Oh well, Harley (for the first time in her life) was camera shy. But you get the idea- these are 4 of the 5 dogs at my house right now. You have to see me line them up from the outside so that I can wipe paws before they hit carpet. Oh yeah, and I vaccuum like 4 times a day!

I love your chubby chihuahua! Pablo is our chubby one--we have another one who is tiny, named Penelope. Unfortunately, Pablo is NOT a substitute baby because he really doesn't like to cuddle or be held. He likes to sit next to you, but not really in your arms. Sigh. That's why I annoy Penelope by carrying her around like a newborn. A 4 pound, snaggle-toothed, bug-eyed newborn, that is.

What would we do without our furbabies??

Haha - that photo of Sherman cracked me up! My furbaby doesn't like to be touched too much - we know we've been petting her too much if we reach out for her and she pulls one of her "dodge and duck" manoevers :). And at 55lbs, she isn't exactly new born sized...need to get me a small dog too!

They are all adorable! I love dogs!! Sherman's picture is hilarious! Simba does that sometimes too - but I don't think I have any pictures of him like that.

I think I need to get a little new born size dog that I can use as a substitute baby! My current baby (Simba) is almost a 100lbs now!

Sherman's picture is adorable! I love todays post. I so needed a distraction from IF stuff. I am so glad we finally adopted another dog after Porter passed away. I don't think I would be able to come home to house without a furbaby.

I love dog sitting!

Awww, they are so adorable! I just love "pet" pictures. I know all about substituting our furbabies for human babies. My shih-tzu dog has more clothes than I do. :)

awwwww- love these, esp. the "old man"...my fur baby is Dexter the sweetest, cuddliest (we do 'synchronised spooning' at night in the bed-him in the middle)
80lb. chocolate pitbull who melts everybody's hearts.
he is only 6 but he's already turning into an oldman (breaks our hearts) we have a ramp for him to get into our bed (the 'non-dog-people simply think we are crazy) and we now have to lift him up to get into the Jeep. (not easy, like a newborn chubby chihuahua)!
He will always be my first newborn-I used to carry him in a napsack in the front (like a snuggly) and people oohed and ahhhed...
he is the reason G & I met...
however...ummmm....5????? are you crazy??? yup, you are.
that's a lotta paw wiping...xoxox

I KNOW that my absolute passion for animals (particularly dogs) is why I've been able to live so happily until now without an ounce of heartbreak over not having kids. I mean, I REALLY get an enormous amount of emotional satisfaction from them. (lucky me!)

I love Sherman. If I were a girl dog (insert punchline here), I would marry him.

Too cute!! I love the bridal pic ... how do they know how to be so darn sweet!

And we have a little min pin, so I hear ya on the small dog feeling like a newborn ... but all that fur ... it just doesn't cut it for me! CCRM will still get my money ;-)

LOL - potato on toothpicks. (-;

I have to say I am partial to old grey faces and your "old man" is just the sweetest!!

Ours are much too big to carry at 55 and 100 lbs, but they make the best cuddlers and pillows.

So glad you shared all your furbabies. Totally made me smile today.

Sue, I wish I could meet you in person. I just think we'd have fun.

As for your comment on the thyroid/bcp connection, I am super scared about it. Last time I took them, my TSH soared to 19! YES 19! WTF. I was taking 'herbs' then and I can't be sure which did it but i've refused to take them since. It took 3 months to control my thyroid and obviously my ccrm cycle got cancelled that month.

i asked my endocrinologist and he said to follow the recommendations of ccrm but i am so scared... i suppose i can take the bcps... and draw BW after 3 weeks and self-cancel if I have a storm.

i asked her if I could do 2 months of bcps so i have time to check my body's response and adjust thyroid meds if necessary. she looked at me and blinked like she had no idea what to say. she then repeated that i should call her with day 1 of my cycle. no help there.

what do you think? 2 months so we have time to see what's up? skip them and risk a hormone surge of lh or whatever screws a frozen cycle? or what?

maybe we should ask a wider audience?

hey lady! I don't know what is next for me. Since retrieval was one week ago, I am waiting on af before my nurse will even let me in on what the recommended timeline is. As soon as I get AF, i'll get the answer. :)

is timing crawling yet? i wish you all normals! a girl can dream, right?
