Tentative calendars and embryo rating?

I sort-of got my calendar yesterday. It turns out that I can't get my official calendar until I fill out the consents and then they will finally release it to me. My nurse apologized for this and said that they've been having problems with giving people calendars and then them not getting consents signed until the day of the procedure, which is creating legal issues. So, I get it. But, she was nice enough to give it to me over the phone. On CD 20 (4/27) I go in for a progesterone check to make sure I ovulated. Then I start lupron that day if P4>5. Then I wait for AF. She will probably be late b/c of the lupron, so we estimated her for the 8th. If so, I start estrogen patches and decrease my lupron on the 10th. That would make my first lining check around 5/23 and we have our transfer scheduled for 5/29. Lets hope it all goes according to plan so that I don't get pushed off into that week that they are closed. If so, they will put my transfer off until June 16th!!! (when my lining will probably be too thick and we will be SOL for that month). So, lets just hope we go according to plan.

I got some questions about embryo rating for my abnormal and my no results after my last post and truthfully, I have no idea what those were. I just pushed to know what grade my normals were. But, now I am really curious - I would have been curious then too if I wasn't freaking out so much. So, I think I have to wait until I get there and actually get to look at my embryo report to find this out. I don't want to bug my nurse again so soon since I've had so many questions lately.

Then, that x ray I took the other day was for that back pain I was having. It seemed to be getting worse in relation to my stressful IBS digestion issues. It turns out that I have arthritis in my lower back? WTF? I'm still young! I've done yoga for 12 years straight! How does that happen? But, it wasn't the worst result. At least I don't need surgery and I know it isn't something that I can really fix by taking bad meds or something that is going to kill me or give me cancer. Its just something I have to deal with. Apparently my digestive issues are causing it to hurt more - the doctor said this happens a lot so I think I have to get my IBS under control again (it never flares up unless I am under extreme stress - Studying for a bar exam in another state while my DH is in Iraq, or waiting for results of CGH testing, or apparently having a miscarriage...). So, I'm not happy but it doesn't change my lifestyle at all...which is good. Now, about that mattress....

Woohoo! I can't wait to follow along as you cycle. I am hoping for the best for you!

DH and I bought a new mattress last year and it is WONDERFUL. I feel so much better all of the time. Happy mattress shopping!

Hey Sue!! I am really excited to hear about your getting some dates in place- I will be here every step and feel really hopeful about what is to come for you!!!!!
Nothing like a new mattress...we are almost due for one, the queen size leaves very little room for my poor dh while dexter (my 80lb pitbull) and I spoon away the night... :)

Hi Sue! YAY! I am glad everything is falling in place. May will be here before you know it. I wanted to offer some advice on the IBS. Have you ever taken digestive enzymes? What about probiotics? They are both very good for IBS. I use Rainbow Light Advanced Digestive Enzymes and I use Primal Defense ULTRA Probiotics. You can get it at Whole Foods but it is cheaper to buy online at the vitamin shoppe. It has made a world of difference. Also keep a food journal and figure out what is bothering you.

Thank you for your comments on my blog. I am in such a rotten place right now. I cried all night. I started to flip flop BACK TO IVF! I know there doesn't need to be an absolute. I should submit the application and do another round of IVF. And if it doesn't work I can continue the adoption process. Though my agency likes you to be done with fertility treatment. But I got my old RE to write a letter. I dont know. I am so confused. Thankfully I have Ellen next week!

The end of May really isn't that far away and it gives you just enough time to get your body ready. I can't believe you have arthritis in your back (and non-medical me wonders how they can tell from xrays??) and I hope it gets better before the ET. As for asking your nurse too many questions, let me remind you about the fee for the IVF...that pretty much well gives you the right to ask as many questions as you want so call her (or call the genetic counsellor for details)! GL and I will be following along with your FET!

Will you be talking to your RE? Can you ask? If you find out...let me know. I know PB8 very well....I would consider switching to another brand.

Glad to hear your schedule! Are you an attorney?

So sorry about your back, that really sucks. I have a herniated disc and it really makes it hard some days.

A schedule in hand, a good plan in place, and 2 normal embryos sounds like a good recipe for twins. (-;

Ugghh on the IBS and arthritis in your back. I really hope they can find something to make you feel better. It seems most meds that would help for arthritis might flare your IBS......Hugs on finding the right fix.

Wow everything sounds really great--well, not the arthritis, that sucks. But your calendar and two normal embryos--all perfection! Best of luck!

I hope you bugged your nurse with more questions. If you aren't courageous enough... walk over... pick up your checkbook register... see totals spent at CCRM, send off email of questions... LOL> they actually CHARGE nursing time so might as well get it.
