Results are in...

Let me start by saying that I was okay...staying busy and ignoring the fact that I was waiting for results...until last night. Then I got stressed. I mean, out of 15 embryos, only 3 made it? And, on day 6? And at best they are a 3bb and 2 2/3's???? But the news is in....out of 4 embryos tested, all 4 are normal! I can't believe it. I woke up this morning stressing that my RE (who is incredibly nice) was going to have to call me with bad news and how he must hate that part of his job...and then I get a beautiful message that I have 4 normal embies!!!!

Now, I can enjoy the holidays and shoot for a February FET!!!! Go me!!!!!

Holy smokes, that is amazing news!!! And that was fast! Goes to show you that slower and lower quality embies does not mean abnormal! Looks like you have up to 4 siblings coming your way!! How many do you think you'll try for?

Wow, that is unbelievable news! You must be walking on air! I'm really thrilled for you and bet that will make this holiday season a little less stressful.

Congratulations! That is fabulous news!

I don't know yet exactly when our FET will be, but it might be February. If we're there at the same time, I'd love to see you.

Unless you're looking for a football team of children, 4 normal embryos is AWESOME!

Never really matters how many eggs you get, how many embryos you get, how many blasts you get because we all know that, in the end, only the normal ones are worth giving a damn about.

HUGE CONGRATS! Get ready to be pregnant next year! :)))

No worries, your comments about LIT didn't come across judgmental at all. I totally feel the same way about having to go out of country and it being experimental. I saw my therapist a week ago, and I told her (referring to LIT) that sometimes an idea sounds perfectly reasonable on the surface, and then in pondering it more, I start to feel like "what the hell am I thinking?" Sometimes there's a very thin, faint line between "perfectly reasonable" and "completely crazy". :-)

All that said, I do think in my case the immune issue is probably a real one. My thyroid issue (Hashitoxicosis) is autoimmune, and I've tested abnormal for NKs and APAs. Also, during my pregnancies when I've taken intralipids, I haven't had any sore throats, but during my pregnancies when I haven't, I've had sore throats (in some cases, really bad) very early on, even in May, which is after cold season is over.

I'm in a Yahoo group for infertility immune issues, and there are some ladies there who have been down to Mexico recently for LIT, so I'm feeling a little bit better about it from a travel perspective. We'll see what happens...
